Quarterly Update

I am reaching out to you to send some updates about our lives here in Budapest and ask you to keep us in your prayers.

At the end of May, our son Izaac got married in Hungary to a wonderful woman, Elia. She grew up in India with parents who are missionaries there. We had the privilege to meet her family who came all the way over to Hungary for the wedding.

Our summer is going by way too fast. Zion, our youngest son who will turn 17 soon is in the USA working at Lake Geneva Christian Camp in MN. He will be back in October. We really miss him.

He was telling us that it is so hard for him to come back to Hungary as he can feel the spiritual heaviness here. He is trying to convince us to go back and stay with him there. Unfortunately, for him, ministry is going on here and we cannot go back there just yet. We are thinking and praying to go back to the US soon to visit churches and to reconnect with people, as we have been here for 9 years.

This is one of our prayer requests, that God arranges this trip for us and lead us in it.

I also request prayers for my family. It is really hard for them to be this far away from us. Pray that God supplies all their needs, friends, mentors, spiritual parents when we are not able to be there for them. This is the hardest part of being a missionary.

Izrael just left this morning to go back to Minnesota. He was with us for 9 months. He will work also at the camp a couple months and coming home with Zion at the end of October. He is the one I usually go to Ukraine with, so I'll really miss him on this upcoming trip.

We have upcoming trips also if you could pray for them.

In August (17-23), we have a youth camp in Ukraine where I am invited to share there and pray for the youth. They expect 200-300 kids to come.

In September, we are invited to a missionary conference in Bratislava, Slovakia where we meet up with our European leaders.

In October, I’m representing Hungary with the previous superintendent of the Pentecostal movement in Jerusalem at an international conference, TJCII (Towards Jerusalem Counsil II, I believe I have mentioned this organization to you before).

With the Hungarian branch of TJCII, we are planning to reach out to the Jewish community here in Budapest in the VII. District, going out to the streets and asking Holy Spirit to lead us and asking for divine appointments.

In the meantime, we are busy at our wonderful church (Riverside Church Budapest), serving the Lord. I translate the services regularly to Hungarian, sometimes teaching at the church, playing on the worship team, we serve on the prayer team, lead the prayer ministry and helping with anything else needed there.

As you saw, we have some traveling setup in the next couple of months, and we trust God for the finances for all these. We ask you to stand with us in prayer that God provides for all of these. He can use people we do not even know yet.

We are thankful to God; He sustained us in the past 9 years in Hungary. Yes, we have been here for 9 years this July! We can see how He provided for us through all these years.
