September-October events
At the end of September, we held worship at the Synagogue in Sopron. The House of Prayer and local AG church felt like this needed to happen for a spiritual breakthrough in the city. The synagogue was part of the ghetto where Jews were cordoned off during WWII. They collected them and were shipped straight to Auschwitz. Sopron was extremely cruel to them. We felt like we needed to continue the reconciliation process, and this was a huge step toward it. Right before this, Leslie was attacked by a virus and developed shingles in her eye.
The event was wonderful. It had a really heavy atmosphere there, but we felt like this is the start and we must continue. This Synagogue has not seen worship like this ever. No Christians have been there to praise the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit!
On October 5th, we were asked to lead the worship (with the Sionband) at a youth event at Nagymaros and pray for the youth one on one afterward. They had several hundred young people there.
October 20-25, I was part of an event, Europeans united in Prayer (EuiP) gathering. This European group is traveling to 2 European cities a year for 18 years now to pray for that nation, for Europe and for Israel. This year was Hungary on the list. This week was an amazing time together. Started out praying for Israel and Hungary, then the situation in Ukraine and Russia. We were praying for both nations to come to a peace agreement.
When we were praying for Hungary, we received several issues, that were deep wounds in the nation from past events. We were able to put these down before the Lord and write down the opposite of those hurts. Sadness and depression to Joy, orphan spirit to Sonship, victim mentality to identity in Christ, occult practices (like shamanism) to true faith in the living God…
On the last day, we were invited to the Hungarian Parliament for a prayer breakfast with the European delegation, where we could declare these truths inside the parliament and worship the true living God.
Thank you for your continouos prayer and support!
Blessings,
Norbert and Leslie
