English Camp 2018
We are on the second day of English Camp. On the first day we played a lot of games (the favorite was the escape room) and had some teachings by Leslie. After lunch we had a puppet show by Jeremy (our American pastor here at Calvary Chapel Church) explaining the Gospel with colors. This was the first time that some of the kids heard the Gospel. It was really cool to see the interest on their faces that God loves them. Toward the end of the day we broke into groups and worked on some crafts and worksheets. We celebrated the end of the day by spending the earned bucks for good behavior.
Today we started out at church and learned some new words on nature, than we went out to the forest to collect as many words as we could. We grouped the words into God's Creation or Man Made. The winning team wrote 80 words in English!
We roasted hot-dogs and marshmallows on an open fire in the forest. Most Hungarian kids have never had marshmallow roast and they really enjoyed it.
We have 2 more days left. We are really feeling your prayer support here. Thank you everyone!
Scavenger Hunt. Selah and her them. They won the contest
Lunch at church. Mac and Cheese, fruit and veggies. And of course cookies (Selah made some Snicker-doodle cookies).
