Changes -2020
The view from behind our house
May Newsletter 2020
Greetings from Hungary! Changes and more changes... Our biggest change here was the loss of all of our interns. At the end of March we lost one do to health issues. He was in the hospital for four days here and had recurring problems so Bethany made the decision to send him home. During this time was also the beginning of the virus here. At first it looked like we were able to keep our interns here. Bethany has a total of 9 sites and 4 had closed as they felt it was too unsafe to remain. We had food and our medical system is adequate. So it was a bit of a shock to hear Bethany call all interns back due to so many unknowns and various other reasons. So in a week the interns were packed up and on a flight back to the U.S. Bethany is informing us that most likely these interns won't be back but to prepare for new ones coming in September.

Local church work here. Like the U.S. most meeting have switched to online. Church online, prayer meeting online etc. We do still go into the house of prayer but only one family at a time. Like all of you we are sorry for the loss of great plans. We had many great plans for the summer. Including a mission trip from our home church that was to arrive in June. English camps and Bible camps that were planned. It is sad to think about how many lives would have been touched.
House of Prayer, Sopron-Hungary. About 300 years old 30m2 (360sqft) room.
What is it like here in Hungary? People started off with a mad grab for groceries and we saw empty shelves at times. Our supplies always came in and had no real lasting concern about food or toilet paper. We have restrictions with what hours we can shop. Most stores are closed and downtown looks very empty. Next week we will have to wear a mask to go shopping and they are going to start opening different businesses. Our prayers for this season is that it is a time of great refreshment and renewal. A time where we can focus on what really is important and get caught up on some projects. We so appreciate that you have sown your prayers and finances into this country and into our ministry. We are expecting a great move of God soon in this country. Please pray for this. A revival that touches the lives of every soul.
