2021 January

Thank you so much for your support in 2020!

We could not be here without you. We are so grateful for your prayers and financial partnership.

This is what January has looked like for us:

Our focus is to build bridges to people so we can freely share God’s love with them and bring them into the Kingdom and into relationship with God. We do this with several different approaches and venues.

Some exciting building is going on here! We are using every idea we can think of to reach people.

Here are some of the examples of the bridge building process we are doing now. Please pray for this as it is all starting to lift off the ground.

Free English classes:

Teaching English as a way to bless and build relationships.

Once a week special events:

A variety of activities. So far we have had a movie night with discussion and a game night to get to know kids and teenagers.

Orphan ministries:

This week we will start again developing relationships. This is exciting for the mission interns as they will meet today with some of the orphan kids for the first time (the COVID restrictions had the Orphanages on lockdown and we couldn’t meet with them).

Special help projects:

Focused on the elderly or those in need of help. Also cleaning the different churches and buildings.

House of prayer: The interns are spending 6 hours a week at the prayer room. Worshiping God, reading the Bible and praying. This is changing the spiritual atmosphere in this region.

Youth group:

This is a very exciting ministry that is taking off! Four of our interns are involved in this. We view the youth as one of our most important investment.

Alpha class:

Bringing college age kids together to have deeper discussions about God. Most of the youth here are not Christians and some of them are Muslims but they are interested in meeting with Americans.

Zumba class: As a new way of meeting new people. What a great way to get to know people and exercise. After each event missionary students share about themselves and the Bible.

Airsoft: Another interesting outreach is one that our oldest son Izrael started. He bought an airsoft gun this summer and it was a huge hit with the neighborhood boys so every other week they get together and have battles. This has led to meeting new kids and new relationships. One of the boys we met through this is a 15 year old kid. He is now joining several of the different activities and is coming to youth group.

These are all bridges to meet people and then plug them into different ministries that will further disciple them.

Many, many thanks for all of your prayers for us and the team here. We are so very thankful for your support that makes this all possible. God has a great plan for Hungary and we are excited to be a part of it along with you!
