2022 November Ukraine trip

Last week I was able to take a delegation from Exmouth, England to Ukraine. Several churches collected money to help people in Ukraine. We were able to partner with the Hungarian Pentecostal Humanitarian Mission and the Salvation Army and were able to buy food with the donation. The Salvation Army brought 8 wood stoves to churches and people in need.

We spent 3 days in Ukraine and were able to visit several churches and minister to and encourage them. At the end of the trip, we were able to assess the spiritual and physical needs and plan for future collaboration.

In the meanwhile, a church in Slovenia collected money for a generator for a specific purpose. We were able to buy it and planning on taking it to Ukraine next week. The Ukrainians are asking for items such as chainsaw, candles, wood stoves as electricity is often out.

On the way home as we were crossing the border, electricity went out. They were processing our passports when it happened. At that point we couldn’t go back to a different border crossing nor proceed toward Hungary. They refused to give our passports back. Ukrainian border patrol told us to sit in our car and they would let us go if the electricity comes back. This station has a closing hour of 7pm and if electricity not restored by than, we would have had to stay there overnight. The problem with this was that no working toilets or any food nearby. We sent out a request to pray for the situation. 5 hours went by, it was already dark outside and the electricity came back for less then 10 minutes, just enough time to process our papers.

Thank you for praying for us and thank you for supporting our ministry.

Blessings,

Norbert & family
